Celebrating Mother’s Day with Allegra Filippetti

To celebrate Mother’s Day, we spoke with Ontario-based content creator Allegra Filippetti, and two of her biggest role models; her mother Laura, and her grandmother Catherine. From life lessons to their greatest achievements, join us for a heartfelt conversation about motherhood.
What have you learned as a mother over the years?
Catherine: To be kind, to be myself. You never learn just one thing; it happens as you go along. You’re still learning.
What is your greatest achievement as a mother?
Catherine: Helping your grandfather out with his business. Working really, really hard. If you don’t work hard, you don’t get anywhere.

What advice would you give to other mothers or women in the world?
Laura: You will have a lot of moments where you’re doubting yourself and anything and everything that you do. Concentrate on what you truly believe in. You decide and commit to things. That’s in motherhood, that’s in getting married, that’s in being a daughter.
What have your mother and grandmother taught you?
Allegra: I’ve learned to be resilient, to stand up for myself. I’ve learned everything I need to know about life. I do want to be a mother one day, so I’ve learned how to be a good mom. I’ve learned that from both of you. It’s almost like I’ve had two moms growing up, so I’m very lucky and very thankful.
