Positano with Charlotte Bridgeman

The Look of Love

I was craving a European getaway, so myself and Emily Luciano decided to book a last minute trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. We’d both been there before last year, but instantly fell in love, so when we were deciding where to go we couldn’t help but head there again.

We landed in Naples and took the leisurely drive into Sorrento. We’d both never been to Sorrento before and had heard mixed reviews, but it was the perfect place to start our Italian adventure. We got over our jet lag by laying by the pool at our beautiful hotel, and eating fresh pizza and pasta made with ingredients grown in the hotel garden. Sorrento had the best food out of everywhere we went.

Next, we drove along the windy roads of the Amalfi Coast to the seaside town of Amalfi. I’d describe Amalfi as a mini Positano, it’s pretty small so we only spent two nights there. The view from our hotel is what made this place so special. We also went for a walk along the main road and stumbled across another tiny town called Atrani, which was only five minutes around the corner from Amalfi.

Then it was off to Positano. I adore this place, even with its 1000 million stairs and equal amounts of tourists. There’s a special charm about Positano that I can’t really describe.

Can’t wait til next year, Italy! Already counting down the days until I can feast on pasta, pizza and Aperol Spritz’s again.
